Effective Weight Loss
Fad Diets
Have you tried different diets, only to find that they all lack one thing -- sustainability? That is the problem with most of the so-called fad diets. They put too much emphasis on one single type of food to eat (or to avoid) and that throws your whole constitution out of balance.
And that is why they fail. Nobody wants to keep on forever weighing their food before they eat. Nobody wants to avoid the delicious "bad" foods (like chocolate ice cream) forever... or are you an exception to the rule?
That is why the Fad Diets are NOT the way to Effective Weight Loss!
The Importance of Balance
Your body was designed and made as a balanced entity, and it needs balance to be able to function properly.Balance is important at all levels -- not only when it comes to food. For instance, too much sleep and too little sleep are both detrimental to your body's balance. The same goes for drinking water... and exercise.
But the body also has magnificent abilities to recover. It has all the defence mechanisms built right in -- but then it has to be fed correctly in order to be able to properly deploy such defences.
How does this help YOU?
Here is the good news -- in order to achieve Effective Weight Loss you do NOT need to completely avoid certain foods. You CAN eat anything...But -- and this is a huge, big "BUT" -- chances are that you have got yourself into the habit of eating too much of the not-so-good foods, and too little of the good ones.
You have to start getting the balance right. And the further good news is that you do not have to do it all overnight. No, do it in phases.
Unless you are so overweight that your doctor has warned you about your health, you do have time to change your "old," unbalanced eating to a new, balanced routine.
If you have a habit of eating a pack of French fries every day, start by trimming it down to four per week, then three, two and eventually one. And replace those unhealthy meals with healthy ones -- like fruits of veggies.
Balanced Exercise
But remember, it is not only your eating that needs to be balanced -- you also have to have a balanced exercise program. Why the Tortoise Always Wins
It is a well known fact that "easy-does-it" often gets more done than overcooking things. Start off jogging 10 miles per day and you are likely not to keep it up.
But if you start with small baby steps, and gradually increase, your chances of success improve drastically.
Your Effective Weight Loss routine relies on you doing (not contemplating, not reading about, but actually DOING) the following:
- Gradually Improving the Quality of what you eat
- Gradually Decreasing the Quantity that you eat
- Gradually Increasing your exercise time
- Ensuring that you consume enough water.
Do it -- because you are worth it!
